graphic file can be used for a puzzle. The
program will give hints if you get stuck,
and can also animate the solution for you. A
colorful Bart Simpson puzzle is provided. VB

WIN31 sound support, several sample graphic
files, and more.

you must lead the "guys" through a hazardous
maze to the central exit. Unfortunately, the
guys are pretty stupid, and can only follow
directional arrows located on the paths in
the maze. You must change the direction of
the arrows to point toward the exit. Any
guys that leave the beaten path die. Guys
that run into each other mutate and start
changing arrows randomly. Quick mouse
reflexes and a lot of practice are required
to win at this game.

spectacular three dimensional maze for
Windows. It uses beautiful ray-traced images

Amusing statements pop up when you bump into

$15) is an incredible 3-D maze game. You
must escape multiple levels of twisting
mazes, looking for gems and keys. An
automapping function helps you see where you
have been. There are locked doors, secret
doors, ropes to climb, ladders to descend,
and much more. 29 mazes are included,
ranging from simple to extremely difficult.

MazeMaker 2.01 (Custom Real-Time Software,

Each day the program challenges you with the
"Maze of the Day" which is like a house with
4-6 floors and about 2000 rooms. You have to
find your way through from beginning to end
which is done by jumping between floors. You
can choose the easy mazes which only have
two floors. If you can do it you are allowed
to attempt more difficult mazes up to the
ultimate "Maze of the Year!"

excellent arcade strategy game. You must
guide the animated figure around a maze,
pushing boxes to cover up gems that are
randomly scattered about. The first few
levels are fairly easy, but if you're not
careful you can box yourself into a corner
with no escape.

exceptional maze/strategy game. You must get
through each level without getting stuck or
eaten by beasts. There are numerous types of
objects to get around. You will have to
start each level over many times as you
experiment to see how an object reacts when
pushed. Other features include an on-screen
maze editor, mouse control, black holes,
one-way doors, time bombs, and more. This is
a very challenging game with lots of
interesting twists.

that cannot be moved until there are only
two markers left, instant replay of games at

Tee Time 1.2 (MerryWare; $20) is an
interesting puzzle game. The object of the
game is to clear all the blocks on a 10x10
playing grid. The target blocks do not fall
but appear in a window for placement, and
can be rotated and reversed. The playing
grid is divided into four 5x5 quadrants by
two mirrors, one vertical and one
horizontal. A row or column clears when it
can be divided into two halves that are
"negative mirrors" of each other. This is a
very challenging game.
